Actually some of these chains so overbuilt that even when they close a store, there is another one a few miles away. Currently i have two CVS, both within walking distance and there is a walgreens across the street from one and a Rite Aid a few blocks away from the other. Each has a pharmacy and in many ways is more efficient and open longer hours given two earner households with kids. Can you imagine the burden on a small mom and pop shop to provide this kind of service?
