I only got sick the one time but that was enough to make me appreciate what folks were going through and for me to stop making fun of them. We had a maneuvering watch officer that the second they would announce the last line off the pier and say the ship is underway would be immediately sea sick. Keep in mind we hadn't actually moved yet we were just no longer tied to the pier. Totally psychosomatic. Used to tease him unmercifully as I would walk by on below decks watch smoking a stinking nasty cigar. The only time I ever smoked cigars:)
