Nor do i but nor do it want to see my country abandon a democracy because hamas is rocketing israel proper enabling the settlers to gain undue influence or impair the ability of the govt to reign them in. I dont want to play chicken and egg games with you. If there was no hamas and PA was a legit org, settlers would have been long gone. Now we stand at a major fork in the road. As yogi berra once said, when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

Israel and two gulags.

A gulag is a system of prison camps, where the government forcibly keeps people, most or all of whoom would want to leave.

I think Israel would be quite willing to see the Palestinians leave.

That being said I'd like to see a two state solution as well.

But when every time an areas is turned over to Palestinian control it becomes a base to attack Israel, the two state solution isn't going to go anywhere. Whatever your view of the claims and ideas of the two parties, there is no way the more powerful party will agree to open itself up to attack.

I don't want MY country supporting either of these.

Me either...i think israel must give back a great deal for things to even out and then when Hamas or Hezbollah attack they have a grief. At this point it seems to me that israel has no moral high ground.
