The organization performs abortions. It also pays for contraception. If the feds send the money that the organization had been paying for contraception, that increases the amount of money available to the organization. The money that used to pay for contraception can now be used for anything including abortion. To use an analogy from outside the abortion issue, Hamas provides services to the people of Gaza, some of them are useful, important, and unobjectionable services. But if the US government sent money to Hamas it would be funding terrorism, even if money the money was directly for non-terrorist services.
