What's this "again" your talking about?

Increasing government spending by a trillion a year, imposing Sarbanes Oxley and other new regulations, creating a new entitlement program...

All of that is the opposite of "that direction".

In some ways Bush really is like Hoover.

He expanded government and increased intervention like Hoover. He was unpopular by the end of his administration like Hoover, and he got blamed for doing pretty much the opposite of what he actually did, again like Hoover.
