To tell you the truth, she actually has a lot of choices in front of her. Pharmacists have one advantage going for them: they are in short supply, especially in small rural areas (same as doctors).

It's just a different world, that's all. "Ownership society" no longer means owning your own store, as you have already pointed out. That's what our parents' generation did. Own dry cleaners, own convenience stores, own gas stations.

But they didn't want that kind of future for us. Instead, they told us to become doctors, lawyers, pharmacists, engineers, professionals.

Yeah it's time for a change.
