what are the right things to do? I don't know if there is a right thing to do any more. I think it may be too late.....and not just for the Palestinians. Prediction, it will lead to high risk gestures that the pals will take as a sign of weakness and begin the fight all over again. You have got to stop with this might makes right BS. It only does temporarily. Yesterday, I was looking at photos of a protest rally in the WB....there were 3 Israeli soldiers firing tear gas at a crowd of hundreds of Palestinians. The photo spoke volumes......Israel is doing what every colonial power has done in the past....trying to keep the majority local population down. In the end, it does not work. Dont you get that what pals want is Jew Free mideast. And you're surprised....Israel was born in violence and dissent..why should it be any other way? Even the moderate arabs in their heart of hearts want this in their heart of hearts. The real test is how many will trade that in for jobs etc. That's the good news......most of them will. That's where Israel's opportunity lies. Doing the right thing......helping the Palestinians reach statehood and then achieving a standard of living similar to the Israelis. Then the fighting will stop for the most part. Unfortunately, the stupid ones control Israel and would never consider making such an effort. That's why in the long run Israel is doomed. Demographics make that very clear.
