Zeev is right. I also found it distressing that the israelis were talking the talk of discredited neocons abroad as if bush had any following anywhere. To the civilian deaths they pointed folks to iraq. Not smart for a world that deplored US in Iraq almost as much as jews in gaza. There is no doubt that israel has lost the propaganda war and that is harmful long term. Its not only fanatical arabs and gullible euros---you can see it on this thread as folks are repelled from what they see on TV and change their views accordingly. I am not talking about parsons who is an avowed anti-semite but guys like ted an al who are/have changes in view starting with sharon in lebanon, then hizbo war and now this. Chris wish may come true--israel without its US ally. Having said all of this i dont have a clue what the f else they could do. Ted wants them to surrender and rely on arab good will. As usual, the Israeli propaganda was a total failure, both because Israel is a PR underdog outnumbered by the world's 1 billion Pavlovian pro-Palestinian Moslems and at least 300 million gullible Europeans, and because the Israeli bureaucrats in charge of international PR should have been crucified and replaced BEFORE we attack Hamas. Of course, it had nothing to do with killing 1400 Gazans and wounding 4k more. Tell Zeev Gaza will be Israel's Waterloo.
