Its the same with housing. LA's housing started to bottom in 1994 and it went back and forth for 3 years. Now remember LA was in serious trouble......it had been hit with a triple whammy: riots, 'quake and an economic decession. Then I think in 1996 or 1997 the market turned up definitely......that's when I finally sold my house and was able to move.

Just because it happened that way last time doesn't mean it's any more likely to happen that way this time. It's about the fundamentals.
