Actually he's putting a hell of a lot of pressure on the other side... you just don't get the nuance.

It doesn't surprise me that you don't see he IS negotiating from strength.

It is a pretty good sign you're screwing up when your enemy is commending you for your "change" in attitude.

Good. You finally are recognizing that having the PM of Israel tell you how to vote in the UN is a sign of weakness. And as you say, it was a very good sign of how badly Mr. Bush was screwing up.
