I did a bunch of reading on work related research. Did you know, the boss's decision to hire or not is made in the first 30 seconds of the interview? Totally on first impression. The rest of the interview is spent testing that decision. It has a lot to do with whether or not you would be comfortable hanging with that person on the job. Most bosses would rather hire someone they are comfortable with and train them than hire someone they don't like who is highly skilled. Same with the worker ... people leave jobs 98% of the time due to some personal dissatisfaction rather than for the reasons typically listed on their resume.
