And the US has been willing to pay for its transgressions. Giving Indian tribes relatively small amounts of cash, or allowing them to run casinos isn't much in the way of payment for what happened to the Indians. And the Bureau of Indian Affairs, probably hurts the Indians (not their tribal structures which it supports, but the actual individual Indians) more than it helps. The Indian tribes have gotten many billions from the US. The Palestinians have gotten squat from the Israelis.
