It's also possible that Cymer's internal estimates have them shipping more lasers than what they're telling Wall Street. One stepper maker estimates that the industry could have the capacity to ship 700 steppers in 1998. So Cymer may be going off of that number, and over course it seems as though the Laser/Stepper ratio is considerably greater than 1:1, so that could account for their capacity to ship 1000 lasers. It's a legitimate hypothesis, but just speculation on my part.
