In this market environment, I find it difficult to believe a bidding war will ensue -- there is simply too much uncertainty in closing ANY transaction these days, let alone competing for one. The price may be nudged a bit to sweeten the pot, but I would be gob-smacked as some would say to see another bid pop up.

My guess is that there will not be a second bidder. But the obvious reason for going public is to get CVTX to come along at maybe a higher price. I think the right thing to do is for CVTX mgt to take the buyout. But they maybe not be of this mindset.

edit: I see mopgcw has jumped in already. What is with these brits and why do they have to have their gob smacked?
