I shudda amended a post of yours on the history of this can of worms by pointing out it is underpinned by the Grand Mufti's relationship with Hitler, and by us needing Israel as a rabbi in the cold war chess game.
Not that it's been all peace and love in that area except for this. That area is probably the most fought over stretch of real estate in civilization's history.
