Microsoft can do whatever it can get away with, of course. In fact, they are obligated to, under the "unethical to be ethical" formulation. It'll be interesting to see what the judge makes of the various Microsoftese definitons of things like "OS", "Product", "Application", versus the more conventional technical meaning of those words. The concept of "the integrity of the Windows experience" takes me through the looking glass back to 1984, but the judge will presumably bring a more judicial and less ironic/sardonic outlook to the matter.
