"You've got to wonder the ego who thinks he warrants a $1.2 million office."

It is the same sort of ego that thought he deserved a $35 million bonus. The problem is, he isn't unique, but symptomatic. Look at the bonuses he pushed through at the last minute. His defense for that is quality people expect it and they would leave otherwise.

But, let's break this down. Those quality people lost billions of dollars. Destroyed their company. They are in an industry that is shedding people like there is no tomorrow. Where would they go? Not many industries are going to pay what they are used to. Not even close. How many financial houses are hiring right now instead of downsizing?

It was totally bogus reasoning. These people are totally detached from the reality of most Americans. These guys managed to clothesline the world's economy and yet they think they deserve to close out the year with millions of dollars of bonuses per head. Not only do they think they deserve it, they think it is theirs by right.
