It's a little only funny, by this definition: 3. warranting suspicion; deceitful; underhanded: "We thought there was something funny about ..." Which seems most suitable for these characters. and odd according to this, since they are so obvious and transparent about it. 5. curious; strange; peculiar; odd: It's only amusing in this sense maybe from their perspective, not mine. 2. attempting to amuse; facetious: Did you really mean that or were you just being funny?
