Also stocks & commodities. But that is asset deflation, there has been no monetary deflation.

But turnover velocity has plunged, money is being tightly held through fear of not having enough for needs and debts.

Those of us in jr commods, if followed Mish and sold, shorted banks etc (I don't short) could have kept our prev huge gains and greatly increased them. And would now be in a great position to benefit from all this distress.

So Mish should get big thanks for those he helped.

Now question is what comes next ?? Do dollar holders give back gains and printed money turn this around ??

The problem in all this is that what works for yr after yr can suddenly reverse, then resume. the guy that can pyramid gains with a given philosophy and stick with it, is not the same guy who can reverse course with comfort, and zig and zag.

I am in the Gerbino camp. I have seen inflation all my life, with dollar losing 95% of its value.

Look at what Germany did when currency collapsed. They issued paper claims payable in labor, etc. In 4 yrs they were the strongest country in Europe. Technology and hard work will advance life forever.

These wild debt escapades only bring on a very temporary setback, this was a beaut and is bringing on a corresponding print party.
