< I can convince myself it's health food.> Yes, convincing oneself is always good for self-indulgence. NZ chocolate has far too much sugar. In Antwerp, [where we lived], the shop across the road was full of delicious chocolates. In France they had about 85% cocoa - very yum and not a huge amount needed to get chocolate taste satisfied [and no queasy feeling of too much sugar and fat].

Belgians, despite living just over the border from the Dutch, are [generally] short and round, whereas Dutch are VERY tall. My theory is the Dutch evolved to be very tall very young because of all the canals, with children falling in and drowning. The tall ones could touch bottom [more likely] so survived and went on to reproduce. No canals in Antwerp but lots of chocolate - short and round. Short and round is also good for resisting cold. Canals were obviously more important than cold in Dutch evolutionary history.
