we have time to debate the social welfare provisions--which are like bats in the belfry to get rid of once they're installed--absent susnset provisions. Sunset provisions wont make any difference. When those came up the debate would be about how much the Republicans are trying to cut social welfare programs. They generally cant even cut the growth rate of these programs much less actual dollars. The new spending levels on some of these programs will be considered the "new normal" when it comes time to look at future expenditures. Slacker
