Perhaps, they offer no ideas that you would support, but that isn't the same as no ideas. The idea that market forces are better than central planning, and so we shouldn't try to pick a solution and impose it is an idea. Here's my solution to the "energy crisis". First, abolish the federal Dept of Energy (a useless and expensive albatross). Second, abolish all subsidies, mandates, penalties and regulations to create a level and economically honest playing field for energy production. Third, open up the US to the many areas of energy supply that are currently off limits. Fourth, cut down the massive layers of red tape that currently hinder production, while maintaining reasonable pollution control laws. Fifth, end the idiotic and destructive "war on CO2", that accomplishes nothing and is poised to cause immeasurable damage to our economy and living standards. Sixth, get the government, in all it's destructive manifestations, the hell out of the way and set the market free to work, as history has shown, time and again, that it will..
