It's amazing how everyone has developed their own theological certainty about that constitutes stimulus and what doesn't. The "debate" is now just the repetition of competing memes, each constructed from the partisanship on each side. As someone pointed out, the only precedents here are the US in the 30's and Japan in the 80's and 90's. There are a zillion different reasons each could be inapplicable to our current situation. But all the voices one reads and hears positively KNOW what is and what isn't. Vaporware, IMHO.
