Somebody actually asked me, after reading the bailout proposal numbers, "Why don't they just send everybody $10,000?"

Aaarg. I said, "If that's such a great idea, then have them send us each $1 trillion dollars, and then we could all buy the state of Montana. You'd have 360 million people trying to buy the state of Montana..."
