This is a very good article. It's an alternate case but nevertheless one that has a higher degree of possiblity that i would like. You may gloat all you want, but if you think the death of israel will be a net positive for arabs, gloat again. If israel goes down the way the author intimates, nothing will walk the earth in the middle east. Its incumbant that reasonable folks find a solution before the death spiral begins for the region, whether its this scenario or other horrible ones we can both imagine. Can H recognize israel? Can I reign in settlers? Or like a chemical reaction, has the hatred gone to far and set in motion a chain of events that will destroy palestine, israel, and other antagonists in the Middle east?

As I write, Israel is using a military designed to fight hostile countries to fight a hostile population.

The first statement is wrong, but I understand since you have to start off with a lie to build an argument to trash Israel defending itself.

Israel isn't fighting a hostile "population", it's fighting terrorists who have sworn their lives to killing anyone who is not a Muslim.

No Happy Ending

This is exactly the same conclusion I came to several years ago. I am sure many Israelis have as well. Its why these forays into Lebanon and Gaza take on more and more desperation. Its not a good situation at all. Good article.
