Obama must be talking to Roberts, and he in turn with Scalia, Alito and Thomas. I am not sure what was said, but given the fact that Obama will likely have at least 2 appointments, he has the power to make like easier or harder for Roberts in the future.

Do you really think that Obama would place himself in a position where he could be seen influencing the SC to that extent? I very much doubt it. Beyond that, I cant imagine that Scalia would go along with any sort of plan that involved him changing his mind to make things "easier" down the road.

I am quite certain that neither Obama nor anyone representing him is putting pressure on the Supreme Court for any reason. As a Constitutional scholar, Obama would know that for one branch of the Federal government to bully another in that way would be completely wrong.
