Mary;

It is something that has to be done. We have to make it more efficient.

Don't mix up the need for getting it done or wanting to get it done with the pragmatics of doing it. You and I may want it, but to suggest that republicans do is just wrong. Any meaningful health care change will take a battle - a real long drag out battle that will likely freeze all legislation and further polarize the parties. I'm of the thinking we have to get this economy going first.

In case people forget, the US is fighting two wars with all the cost that entails. On top of all that immense expenditures is the need for a stimulus package - and you think we can also afford universal health care? ..........Obama has been dealt an awful hand because of the reckless fiscal policy of Bush - it will take a lot of time to just get back to where the country was before Bush. But we absolutely can't do all this at the same time. It will ruin us fiscally.
