Not that it was your business my initial comment was to Jim since I know he was a long term holder of GE and that company is a bellweather for the state of the economy..

Just bought a house for $28k.. comps around $85-90k. It is work you know to find these things, solve problems and monetize your profits. I guess I will wait on the experts (like you?) before I dive into real estate deals again..stock market obsession is for those who can't make it happen in the real world and watching that stuff day in and day out as well skews your sense of the world to extreme views IMHO..really when I retire I'm traveling instead or taking up any other hobby..I just bought a bunch of GE this afternoon, my only holding, and certainly ain't going to watch with day in or day out nor will I be obsessed with the daily press on folks losing their home to foreclosure or the latest rescue package in DC..

Have to empower ourselves..be the best at something and don't expect the government or CNBC or SI or your carefully timed stock trades to save you..I've decided to hibernate again..not because of you..just little reason to continue to rehash the same old topics or talk about a housing crash when we've already crashed beyond belief in my neck of the woods....my DNA is just different..hey if I was in Seattle you'd have to put up with me for two more years here<g> I will check back in the spring..peace to all
