Fear is increasing not decreasing, so metals could just keep going with the speculators moving in.

There used to be a theory that if one of the divisions won then we would have a Bull market for the year, and if the other won then it was Bear.
Can't recall which was what.

BTW, housing was only the last bubble in a long list of easy credit bubbles spanning from Reagan's time.
