Who said we don't create money?:

With regard to energy imports: do you suppose with the outlays we have made since WW2 for the 700+ military bases in 135 countries and the arms we have supplied our "allies," we could have developed domestic energy systems of all kinds to meet our needs? And whatever energy we needed to import we would surely have been productive enough otherwise to pay the bill ?

Would we have to change our priorities? Surely. And the time has come to do so.
