Keynes said it doesn't matter, and you can drop cash from hilos
or bury it in mines. The treatment of WS was extremely
different from the treatment of other corporations in trouble,
and it was WS greed that got us into this mess. The policies
should have been centered around stimulating the real economy,
not pumping the markets or WS bubbles, a long time ago.
Without it this is all just a chitload of worthless paper
shuffling that will make the crisis deeper. You can't foster
the imbalances that got us into this mess to get us out!
As I see more stimulus applied to the real economy, and letting
the financial bubble adjust, I'd say we'd be getting on the
road to recovery. Understanding this need is the first step,
and I think we made it. -g-
