Re: Chuckle & Taiwan Telecom System Vendors to Get ADSLs

John - Thanks for the MCDONNELL DOUGLAS WARRANTY CARD
The small print will get you every time. I prefer Flight Simulators.
They have what every pilot wants in the real aircraft, a FREEZE button. (;^)?

October 22, 1997 (HSINCHU, Taiwan) -- A government R&D center
will help develop and transfer know-how on asymmetric digital
subscriber line (ADSL) systems.

The Computer and Communications Laboratories (CCL) of the
Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) recently signed
agreements with 13 telecom-system vendors to develop technology for
affordable ADSL systems.

However, profit margins are limited because ASICs chips must be
imported. For this reason, the CCL also plans to develop
ADSL-transceiver ASIC chips to incorporate digital signal processing
(DSP), analog-digital mixed-mode technology, equalization and echo
cancellation.
