If you mean, was he against reactionary assholes that follow radio rabble rousers, yes. He liked Richard Nixon, and voted for him, although he had been in the Army Air Force in WWII like McGovern. Eventually, he came to agree with me that Nixon was an insane, egotistical asshole criminal. He got a lot more liberal after Nixon. He was a big enough of a man to change.

Unlike you with Bush.
