Kenneth, there was not a single person who did not read the same articles that you did. We wait for the numbers to be released since "we" do not declare recessions.

As for recognizing recessions, lolol, trust me, there is not a person in the world of business that does not see the economy better than a part time attorney...lolol do you think manufacturers do all day?

Look at these charts from the Minneapolis Fed to compare the current recession to those in the past. In July, the economy sat between mildest and median.

you didn't even recognize it as a recession.

True and accurate recognition at that point is impossible.
