I saw an interesting point that if he can get some moderate Senate Republicans on board for the stimulus bill, he may get some moderate Republican support in the House when the conference bill version is voted on.

To expand on that point a bit, I've seen the argument made, and it makes sense, that the House vote was a free vote for the Reps. But when the conference bill comes back to the House, that won't be. Then they'll actually be voting on whether to help the economy or not.

For reps from swing districts, not many I know but there are some, that's going to be a very critical vote.
