joe, jfk started faking the numbers. that's rule number 1 - the government fakes their numbers to manipulate the people.

people who have run out of unemployment are still unemployed. people who want to work, but have given up looking b/c there is no work are still unemployed. people working part time who want and need full time to survive count as underemployed...

this is the way they counted unemployment during the great depression before jfk faked the numbers.

so, on an apples to apples comparison we are around 16%. i heard that figure on the radio.

it is well known that the government keeps two sets of unemployment books and will give you whichever one serves their purpose (usually the smaller number).
