Perfect rooming house. Free room for the manager/maintenance person.

14 X ($500 a room + bill share) = $7000 a month gross

Houses that large have at least one bath in the servants' wing. Another in the poolhouse or tennis hut. Usually a half bath for gardeners and groundskeepers.

It's insane. I wouldn't want to be rattling around in something like that. And frankly, given the economy, I think those houses are easy marks for vandals and robbers.
