OK, how about we just put all these protectionist threats on hold for the moment. We'll send down our best banking experts to educate you folks on how to run your banks. It's an interesting dilemma Tom. The Europeans love to squawk from the get go. but what will come of it. We Canucks are sleeping with an elephant.. but Ignatieff's statement on oil might be a clue.. I am down on Ignatieff for giving Harper such an easy walk but maybe I am wrong.. That oil noise of his will play very well to a Canadian public fed up with troops getting blowed up (purposely misspelled in honour of John Candy on SCTV :O) in Afghanistan.. an era of George Bush and now if Obama goes stark raving protectionist.. We get a real left leaning government up here.. The Nafta will certainly be on the ropes... and US energy security with it. Sure the plan is solar etc and I'm a booster... but not that fast will we see it.. (when I start talking like Yoda... it's time for bed... LOL) We do indeed live in interesting times.. TBS
