Peter, History is going to remember we had SURPLUSES when Bush came into office, but we had record deficits when he left.

Well, first of all, we haven't had a surplus in decades.

You can get to a "surplus" for the Clinton years only by ignoring a massive, many-trillions deficit in Social Security when the unfunded liability is counted, as it should be.

The so-called "surplus" during the Clinton years is TOTALLY immaterial when compared with the true accumulated deficit from liberal spending programs started in 1933.
