>> should we model ourselves after Arkansas?

Say what you will, but when FDR getting his "stimulus" done, he had Joe T. Robinson of Arkansas as a congressional leader rather than nitwits like Pelosi and Reid.

"California is the 8th largest economy in the world, surpassed only by complete countries like Japan, Germany, USA, UK, etc. But California is now effectively bankrupt, and cannot pay its bills. Why?

Because that state has chosen to put free-spending (vote-buying) liberal Democrats into every office of real power in their government.
Even Arnold Schwarzenegger (a Republican, he claims) was an after-thought.

First they elected Grey Davis (another liberal Democrat) to the governor's office, then threw him out when the state faced financial failure, and replaced him with Arnold.

But all other offices are still held by liberal Democrats, who have spent the state into oblivion, in order to assure they stay in power. Socialistic handouts are everywhere, and votes are purchased thereby.

Now the state is effectively out of money, unable to pay for all those programs the Democrats put in place. And this is the 8th largest economy in the world. There appears to be no limit to what liberal Democrats will do to retain power."

Deal with it, the facts.
