That conclusion should probably be given some time... he's only been in office for a couple of weeks.

If I remember right, a lot of you guys have faulted the Dems for hating Bush from day one, for not giving him a chance.

The remark was based on actual events.

I was willing to give Obama a chance. But look what he's done in his opening days --

a) Appointed no fewer than four people who have corruption in their backgrounds;

b) Signed executive orders prohibiting certain behavior within his staff, only to violate those orders exactly ONE DAY LATER, and that will increase the number of abortions world wide, and that effectively returns to the failed Clinton policy of treating terrorist as criminals rather than as combatants;

c) Made the worst foreign policy blunder since Clinton by making a fool of himself and the country WRT to Iran which will result in escalated hatred against America (this is clearly his worst mistake to date);

d) Proposed the worst spending measure in the nation's history -- a trillion dollars in liberal programs and pork barrel with little economic benefit to the country and tons of new socialism that will take decades to root out when we get a competent administration again.

I gave the man a chance. But his first two weeks have been far more extreme and far more disappointing than even *I* expected.

I believe it will take years for the historical significance of Bush's presidency to be apparent to everyone. But I never recommended ANYONE be blind to the obvious.
