Joe T. Robinson Household name. Well, anyone who knows something about the history surrounding FDR knows that JTR was a candidate for VP in '28 and that he was the first Democrat to serve as Senate Majority Leader which he did until he died. It is worth noting that Robinson died of a heart attack while under intense pressure from FDR to support legislation that NOBODY in the country wanted -- an effort to pack the Court which was viewed by many as a blatant attempt at establishing fascism in America (newspapers openly referred to FDR as "Der Fuerer") -- an effort which was shut down ONLY when Justice Hughes stepped in and explained just how un-American the plan was. I wonder if Pelosi is feeling any such pressure.
