My first reaction is that I am not surprised but still am outraged. This sort of mentality exists here on all levels and manifests itself in different ways.

It's impossible to know where to start.............there is welfare being dished out on many levels.............Money has flowed easily into the pockets of those that have had the nerve to take it.

Needing help is something I gladly give to those that are caught off guard and have special circumstances. This woman's need to have kids is ridiculous........it is greed that compelled her DR's to do the implants in the first place so the lack of ethics starts right there with teh MD............he or she wasn't on welfare but was collecting plenty of it via services rendered.

The entire system has collapsed with greed. We are cannabalizing our country with this sort of activity.

Money flows easily in California..........state, county and local workers all get almost 100% of their salaries when retired.............that's also ridiculous!

This is a great state with much to offer but it's lost it's way like the rest of America.

The pig trough is shrinking. It's time to learn how to make money the old fashioned way. That may be too complicated a task for gov't workers!

ALl levels in all departments have massive fat to trim...........and that includes groups that no one wants to mention ( fire and law enforcement ). When firemen and police make more then MD's.........it's time for a change.

It will all come crashing down soon.

Yes, this country actually rewards and encourages stupidity. Then we wonder why taxes are high, services are low, and the majority of people on the street act like idiots.

Wonder if she's ever heard of foster children. The state pays you for minding them too, without the pregnancy thing.

that article makes some good points but Doctors and Hospitals do "pro bono" work (or whatever it is called) for special circumstances medical situations all the time, for publicity I think. Every conjoined twin operation lately is free, various heart procedures, that limb amputation for that little indian girl etc, those are all free and this octuplet situation probably fell into that camp. This woman seems like she is mentally ill to me
