Nah, Max, 24/7 control is a myth, but the PPT does exist, and
they revealed themselves a few times last year. Xept all
major derivatives dealers have supercomputers programmed
for mean reversal (automatic netting) and connected to the
Fed's electron generator. Then the tail wags the dog, so we
saw this unnatural behavior. The druids blew up in October.
What we saw as constant spikes was a natural behavior of
unnatural markets. Like in credit, derivatives contribute
to increased stability against minor shocks until the big
one comes. It came. -g-

I think the Working group that "works" on manipulating
the markets (higher) is no longer a conspiracy theory -
they revealed themselves in 2008. Just can't imagine Ben or Hank
sitting 24/7 monitoring all markets. Robots on WS do that,
JPM, C, and BAC. They had regular Sunday
meetings this past Fall, and quite a few actions that had
the goal of turning the markets. These caused major bear
rallies. -g-
