Hi condor.

The debate today compares the Japanese approach to the Swedish approach which really worked well. The swedes just went in and nationalized the banks using 4% of GDP. This ensured adequate capitalization.

Then they clesared the balance sheets and returned the banks to the private secrtor four years later with profits to the swedish people.

Teh Japanese did not adequately capitalize their bnaks which left them zombie banks. Our banks now are now zombie banks.
