Tom,,, could you elaborate on what velocity means and implyies relative to the money supply.

Just curious. I have been asking people smarter than me how the money will be moped up later in order to prevent inflation, so in a way I think I have tried talking about the issue.

Those that do point out that there's a small problem with velocity

The big problem with velocity is only the Fed knows the number.

Greensputin stopped publishing the M3 number issuing some mumbo jumbo with the announcement, and without M3, going back to Econ 101, which I took in 1965, you can't compute the Velocity of Money.

I suppose that we could use the Shadowstats.com best guessestimate if some one would pay for their subscription service.
