Has anyone actually READ what is in this stimulus package ?

We all talk about it but when someone says there is a lot of pork. What pork. When someone says it won't help. How will it not ?

The biggest error I see so far is that of having given the banks a bail out with no specifications.. Not a one...

AND the banks do what they always do.. horde the money, buy other banks and fail to loan out which is what I understood the package was for.

Who was minding the store here.

Barney Frank was making a point that the Reps always, always complain about "big spending" bills when it's about roads and bridges and schools and safety nets and so on. But don't complain about big spending bills when it's the latest worthless missile system or a very, very wrong war. Lots of items under that heading.

And TV anchors let them get away with it. As George S. was doing yesterday until Frank talked over him.

Good for Barney.
