You are right that the liberal idea of homes for all was real dumb but it is no more dumb that the bankers/investment bankers, totally unregulated, created uninsured derivatives to offset risk while the "free enterprise" govt of the Bush admin stood idly by and bragged about the good times unti it all blew up.

?? You don't make any sense? This is a recession caused by the socialist idea that all people should have houses, no matter if they can pay the mortgage or not.
