Ah, but the Dems have found ideas that work, at last better than the Reps. There is a serious stimulus package on the table; while the Reps make up data about multiplier effects and try to frame the debate on the stimulus package by picking at very, very small portions and try to characterize the whole by that small portions. Whether that's effective TV is one thing. But look, again, at the NYTimes editorial on the stimulus package. That gives a much better idea as to what the large items in the package are and how they sequence in.
