I bet you didn't know, that the old South African apartheid regime had the Japanese rated as 'Honoroble Whites', did you? Thus they could enter white only hotels and restaurants and move around like truly white people. My Japanese wife, an ex Pan Am flight attendant, told me all about this. She still refuses to put her feet on South African soil for same reason and I understand and fully support her here. Sorry, Mickey, I disagree with your subtle line of racism grading like Asians would be less different from Whites than African Americans and other black - or if I may say so - colored people. Reminds me too much of the idea, that Jewish people suffered more from their Holocaust than Armenian and Roma people from theirs - and thus deserve more than those from our society. I had a Dutch girlfriend, her father Indian Indian, her mother half Irish and half black African, she considered herself black. Well, I disagreed and just told her that in my opinion she were 'colored'. Smart as a whip, the most beautiful woman you could ever imagine, man was I proud of moving around with her. On top of that I loved her dearly. We still are close friends and let me tell you, racism is so remotely detached from me as (now) Venus from here. So don't give me that crap. Taro
